Second win for a spot in the Spar Cup Final Tournament

Cedevita Olimpija secured its second win in the quarterfinals of Spar Cup against Triglav Kranj on Monday, and secured its spot in the semi-finals of the Spar Cup Final Tournament.

On Monday, Cedevita Olimpija secured a place in the semi-finals of the competition as the last of the four teams that will participate in the final tournament of the Spar Cup. The Dragons hosted ECE Triglav in the second quarter-final match in Stožice and celebrated their victory with a score of 91:84. In the final tournament, which will start on Thursday at 20:30 in Maribor’s Športna Dvorana Lukna, and to enter the final, the squad of Ljubljana will face Šenčur. Helios Suns and Terme Olimia Podčetrtek will compete in the second semi-final match, which will start at 17:30.

In Stožice, the team of Ljubljana justified their role as favorites in the quarter-final pair with Triglav and reliably secured their place in the final tournament. The team of head coach Jurica Golemac will try to defend the title of cup champion in Maribor, which they won in the 2021/22 season, and at the same time win the second laurel of the season, a total of 22 cups in independent Slovenia.
