The Dragons beat Partizan in Belgrade

Cedevita Olimpija squad is back on the winning track. In the 11th round of the regional competition, the squad, led by head coach Jurica Golemac, has celebrated a 96:89 win over Partizan of Belgrade.

The players of has got up after the Wednesday’s tight defeat in the 7DAYS EuroCup and improved their impression in the clash in Belgrade. At the tough road test, the Cedevita Olimpija players have beaten the team of the Serbian capital and grabbed their sixth win in the regional competition.

The clash in Belgrade was pretty much even for the opening three quarters. With 2 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter, Partizan NIS have still been in front by a point (67:66). However, Cedevita Olimpija finished the quarter with a 5:1 run and turned the game upside-down before the beginning of the fourth (68:71). In the final period, the Dragons kept gradually increasing their advantage and by the middle of the quarter, their lead became double-digit (75:85). As it turned out later, this has been crucial for the final outcome of the clash in Štark Arena.

Jacob Pullen and Jaka Blažič have been the most efficient in scoring for the Dragons with 19 points on their record apiece, while Yogi Ferrell (15), Edo Murić (14) and Marko Radovanović (12) have finished in the double digits as well.

The green and orange are about to face a new test on Wednesday, 20.00, when they will be facing Umana Reyer of Venice on the road in Italy.
