Cedevita Olimpija’s senior team defeated Laško in the second game of the national championship quarterfinal series on Sunday in Stožice by a score of 106:74, securing a place in the semifinals of the competition. After their success in the first quarterfinal game, the Ljubljana side stepped onto the court in front of their home fans with a clear goal – to confirm their advancement among the four best teams in the competition without any additional complications. With the victory in Stožice, Cedevita Olimpija successfully concluded the quarterfinal chapter and earned some extra time to prepare for the next challenge. In the national championship semifinals, the Ljubljana team will face GGD Šenčur, with the series beginning on Wednesday in Šenčur.

GAME REPORT:

The Dragons entered the game decisively and turned it in their favor already in the first half. After ten minutes of play, they led by seven points (31:24), and by halftime their advantage had grown to 12 points (55:43). In the remainder of the game, the players coached by Zvezdan Mitrović controlled the pace without major complications and safely brought the game to an end, celebrating their advancement to the national championship semifinals.
