Dragons one Step Away From the Semifinals After a win Over Laško

Cedevita Olimpija’s basketball players opened their national championship playoff campaign on Saturday in Rimske Toplice with a convincing victory in the first quarterfinal game against Laško (76:89). The Dragons can secure a place in the semifinals on Sunday, May 17, when the second game will be played at Stožice Arena.

Ljubljana’s Cedevita Olimpija senior team entered the national championship playoffs with a convincing win. On Saturday, the Dragons defeated Laško in Rimske Toplice in the opening game of the quarterfinal series by a score of 76:89. The second game of the series will take place on Sunday, May 17, at 7:30 PM in Stožice, while a possible third game would be played two days later in Laško.

Before that, head coach Zvezdan Mitrović’s squad will face the second game of the AdmiralBet ABA League quarterfinal series against Crvena zvezda Meridianbet. In the matchup that will determine whether the Dragons continue their regional season, the two teams will take the floor at Stožice Arena on Tuesday at 7:00 PM, while the fan zone will open from 5:30 PM onward.
