Ninth win in a row for Cedevita Olimpija

In the 21st round of the regional league, Cedevita Olimpija has put its ninth consecutive win in the books. The squad of Ljubljana celebrated a 101:79 win after a great second half to beat Mornar-Barsko zlato.

In Bar Cedevita Olimpija players have prevailed over Mornar-Barsko zlato and scored its ninth win in a row. The squad, led from the bench by head coach Jurica Golemac, beat Mornar-Barsko zlato 101:79. The Dragons suffered their last defeat on 30 January in Podgorica against Budućnost VOLI, that is coming to Stožice Arena on Tuesday in the 7DAYS EuroCup.

The last time that the two squads have been close was 3 and a half minutes before the end of the third quarter, when the Dragons led 57:62. That’s when their 4:13 run began, that lasted until the 30th minute, when they were up with the score of 61:73. That’s when it became clear that a comeback would be extremely difficult for the hosts. As it turned out later in the game – impossible.

Jacob Pullen and Yogi Ferrell achieved 17 points each. Zoran Dragić put 15 points to his stats, Edo Murić 12, Zach Auguste 11 while adding 5 rebounds to his statistics.

The Dragons will continue the March Madness on Tuesday, when Budućnost VOLI of Podgorica is coming to Stožice Arena in the 14th round of the EuroCup season.
