Duščak’s 26 for a win against Helios Suns

The Cedevita Olimpija team defeated Helios Suns in the eighth round of the Nova KBM League Championship Stage in Stožice on Friday with a mixed team (81:66).

Cedevita Olimpija performed in a mixed line-up on Friday night in Stožice. In addition to the six basketball players from the youth team, Alen Hodžić, Žiga Dimec, Ivan Marinković, Dan Duščak, Rok Radović and Luka Ščuka were also in the squad, while the twelve faced the Helios Suns basketball players in orange-green jerseys, who arrived in Ljubljana motivated. This did not bother the Ljubljana team, as they recorded their fourth victory in the Nova KBM League for the champion on the home floor.

Dan Duščak showed his best performance of the season with26 points, eight assists and four rebounds.

After an equal first half, Helios Suns took two points (39:37) with them to the main break, the Dragons played in the third quarter, and took the lead with 52:42 after Duščak’s basket. The Domžale basketball players resisted well until the end of the match in the beauty of Stožen, constantly threatening the Ljubljana team, however, in the last quarter the Dragons managed to move away significantly again, and at the end of the match they only calmly brought the match to an end. After 40 minutes of play, the scoreboard showed 81:66 in favor of Cedevita Olimpija.

The senior team is already focusing all its efforts on Sunday’s clash of the 24th round of the ABA League with Crvena zvezda mts, which will start in Stožice at 17.00, and it will be possible to watch it live on Arena Sport 1.
