Great last quarter for the major comeback in Novo mesto

In the 14th round game of the ABA League season on the road in Leon Štukelj Sports Hall in Novo mesto, Cedevita Olimpija has made a major comeback to grab the ninth win of the season in the regional competition. The Dragons have beaten Krka of Novo mesto after 40 minutes of play with the score of 90:83.

Cedevita Olimpija has started the new season the way that it ended the last one, with a win. The Ljubljana team has beaten Krka 90:83 in the Leon Štukelj Sports Hall, grabbing the fourth win in a row in the regional competition. The excellent start to the last quarter has decided the finish of the game, after which the reigning national champions have calmly brought the game to a close.

The Dragons have entered the clash with a slow start and have taken nine points of deficit to the halftime and were behind by 8 points before the last quarter (61:69). That’s when the Ljubljana machine started grinding and with the partial score of 21:2 the Ljubljana team has gone up 81:71. Despite the fact, the Novo mesto squad did not give up until the very end of the game, Cedevita Olimpija is coming back to Ljubljana with a new pair of points.

Zach Auguste finished the game with a double double (22 points, 11 rebounds) and Jacob Pullen stopped a 22 points as well. Yogi Ferrell had 16 points.

Cedevita Olimpija will be back on court again on Monday, 20.00, when it will face Zlatorog in the Quarter-final of the Spar Cup. In the regional competition, a new test awaits them on Saturday, 19.00, when Borac will come to Stožice in the 15th round of the Regular Season.
