Cedevita Olimpija squad has prevailed over GGD Šenčur in the Game 2 of the Quarterfinals of the national championship, with the final score of 93:75 and advanced to the Semifinals with the score of 2:0 in the series.

The Cedevita Olimpija senior squad has, on Tuesdsay in Stožice, a bit more than 24 hours after returning from Dubai, prevailed over GGD Šenčur in the Game 2 of the Quarterfinals with the score of 93:75 and swiftly secured itself a spot in the Semifinals. In the Game 1 last week in Šenčur, the score was 100:96 in favour of the green nad orange squad.

In the Semifinals, the squad led from the bench by head coach Zvezdan Mitrović will face the winner of the Quarterfinal pair between Kansai Helios Domžale and Terme Olimia Podčetrtek, where the Podčetrtek squad leads 1:0 in the series.

On Friday, a spectacle of the regional competition is coming up in the Stožice Arena. Cedevita Olimpija will be hosting Dubai Basketball and try to force Game 3 of the series, after having lost 86:85 in the Game one on the road in Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.

GAME REPORT:

The teams have been fairly equal in the opening quarter, in which, the visiting side left the court with a 2-point avantage (17:19). The Dragons took control of the game in the second quarter, midway through which they have been up by 5 points (33:28) and by 10 (42:32) with 2 minutes remaining in the first half, after two back to back three-pointers by Jaka Blažič. In the remainder of the game, the Ljubljana side has calmly controlled their advantage and cruised towards the win in the end with the final score of 93:75.

For the green and orange squad, Gregor Glas led the way in scoring with 21 points on his record, while Jaka Blažič added 20.
