In the second game of the Quarterfinal series of the Nova KBM League, Cedevita Olimpija has prevailed over Krka for the second time and advanced to the Semifinals with a perfect score in the series.
Cedevita Olimpija reached the Semifinals of the national championship. The squad, led from the bench by the head coach Jurica Golemac, advanced to the Top Four by beating Krka at home court in Tivoli Sports Hall, after beating the Novo mesto side in the first game in Leon Štukelj Sports Hall previously.
The hosts have been in charge of the court in Tivoli for the majority of the playing time, as they have quickly taken the lead and were ahead by 3 points (23:20) as the first quarter came to an end. In the second quarter, they have stormed past the remaining Krka’s defences and created themselves a 15-point lead by the big break (55:40). In the remainder of the clash, the Dragons calmly cruised towards the win in the end, with the final score of 102:80
Luka Ščuka found himself atop of the list of scorers at Cedevita Olimpija, as he scored 18 points, while Yogi Ferrell added 14.
The next game is coming up for the Dragons on Thursday, as they will face Crvena zvezda mts on the road in Belgrade in the Round 1 of the regional league Semi-finals.
