In the opening game of the Finals of the national championship, Cedevita Olimpija has beaten Helios Suns on the road in Domžale and took a 1:0 lead in the series.

The game did not start just the way the Dragons would have desired, as the strenuous rhythm of the previous couple of weeks has left its scar on the energy of Cedevita Olimpija squad. Therefore, Helios Suns were up 18:13 after the first quarter and 35:33 by halftime.

The Ljubljana squad quickly turned the flow of the game completely upside-down at the beginning of the second half, as they got up 40:37 with a 7:2 run right at the start. The lead continued to grow towards the end of the clash and in the end, the score on the scoreboard was 81:66.

For Cedevita Olimpija Yogi Ferrell led the way in scoring with 19 points on his record. Jacob Pullen added 16.

The next game of the Nova KBM League Finals is coming up on Saturday, when Cedevita Olimpija will be hosting Helios Suns at home in Stožice Arena. The game is scheduled to start at 18.30.
