Cedevita Olimpija squad has convincingly won its last game in the 2021. In Stožice Arena, the players, led by head coach Jurica Golemac have celebrated a win with the final score of 88:78.
At home in Stožice Arena in Ljubljana, Cedevita Olimpija have outgunned SC Derby and grabbed their second consecutive victory. The win came fully deservedly for the Dragons since they have been in front since the ending of the first half and until the end of the game. They are now on a 7:5 record, anchored in the Playoffs zone.
After a pretty close first half, the teams have still been tied with less than 3 minutes remaining in the first half (39:39), but that’s when Cedevita Olimpija pulled away with an 11:0 run and went in front by 11 points at the opening of the second part of the game (50:39). As it turned out, this has been crucial for later development of the clash, as SC Derby did not manage to threaten to take a couple of points with them back to Podgorica.
Jacob Pullen has been the most efficient in terms of scoring for Cedevita Olimpija, as he had 20 points, while Edo Murić contributed two points less. Jaka Blažič has at the same time become the first player in the ABA League history with at least 2000 points scored in the regional competition.
