Sweet revenge over Mega – 12th win in a row

Cedevita Olimpija team has won its 12th straight win. For the fourth win in a row in the regional competition, the squad led by head coach Jurica Golemac has beaten Mega Mozzart on Sunday in the 22nd round of the regional competition with the score of 92:81.

Cedevita Olimpija has written down a new win in the 22nd round of the regional league. The 12th win in a row is the longest winning streak since the 2019, when the Ljubljana and Zagreb sides have merged and with the fourth win in the regional competition the Dragons have done a determined step towards the Playoffs. They have beaten Mega Mozzart 92:81 on Sunday.

Cedevita Olimpija have pulled away from Mega Mozzart early in the game. With 4 minutes left in the first quarter, the visiting side have still held the lead (10:12), but that’s when the Dragons went on a 12:0 run over the next two minutes to turn the game completely upside-down and create themselves a double-digit lead (22:12). As it turned out later in the game, this has been enough for them to continue the game calmly, as Mega Mozzart did not manage to threaten to take their lead away until the very end of the clash.

The top scorer was Edo Murić with 16 points, while adding 8 rebounds. Yogi Ferrell and Jaka Blažić have scored 14 points apiece, while Zoran Dragić added one less. Jacob Pullen and Alen Omić have stopped at 12 points, with Omić adding 12 rebounds and 5 assists to his stats.

The next game is coming up for the Dragons on Monday, when they will meet Šenčur in the Nova KBM League at 18:00. Cedevita Olimpija will continue its international journey on Wednesday, 20.30, when it will travel to Bologna to face Virtus Segafredo in the 15th round of the 7DAYS EuroCup.
