Big win against Krka for the start of the regional season

Cedevita Olimpija players have successfully started the ABA League season. Ahead of the home fans they have celebrated against Krka with 32 points of margin (88:56) and scored their first win of the regional league season.

First round of the regional league has once more brought us the Slovenian derby. In the Stožice Arena the home side players have faced Krka, against which they have celebrated a win a few days ago in the Super Cup game. The outcome was the same, as the Dragons won 88:56 and scored the first couple of points in this season of the competition.

Krka were the ones to start the game better, as they have been up 10:3 after 3 minutes of the game. However, Cedevita Olimpija fought back and by the end of the first quarter, they were already up with the score of 18:15. They have opened the second quarter with a 9:0 run afterwards and created themselves a comfortable 12-point lead (27:15) by 13th minute and as it turned out later in the game, Krka did not manage to fight their way back into the battle for a win. In the end, Cedevita Olimpija won 88:56.

11 players of Cedevita Olimpija have written their name in the scoresheet. The most successful one was Marcus Keene, that had 17 points and 6 assists, Zach Auguste had 15 points and 5 rebounds, while Jacob Pullen had 12 points.

Sani Bečirović honoured Miha Zupan in the name of the club, as the former player of the Dragons has ended his playing career.

The next game is coming up for the Ljubljana side on Sunday, 19:00, when they will be facing Borac on the road in Čačak in the ABA League.
