In the decisive third game of the AdmiralBet ABA League Semifinal series between Cedevita Olimpija and Partizan Mozzart Bet, the Belgrade side have taken advantage of their home court in order to grab a win, that is taking them to the Finals with a 2:1 score in victories. Partizan Mozzart Bet prevailed 90:71 in Game 3.
the decisive third game of the Semifinal series, Partizan Mozzart Bet have prevailed over Cedevita Olimpija at home, in amazing atmosphere in front of 14,877 fans in their Štark Arena in Belgrade and advanced to the Finals, where they will be facing Crvena zvezda Meridianbet.
Partizan Mozzart Bet pulled away immediately at the start of the game, as they have created themselves 14-point lead in the first four minutes of the clash (16:2), for which Alen Smailagić contributed no less than 8 points. The Dragons fought back and even tied the game with a bit less than 5 minutes to go in the first half, when the two squads were tied at 29:29. However, that’s when the offensive game stopped for Cedevita Olimpija, as the hosts managed to limit them to only 1 more point in the first half, went on a 12:1 run by the big break and departed to the locker room with a double-digit lead (41:30). As it turned out later in the game, Cedevita Olimpija simply did not have the necessary strength to return into the battle for the win all until the end.
The AdmiralBet ABA League season ends in the Semifinals for the Ljubljana side.
For the Dragons Zoran Dragić led the way in scoring with 15 point on his record, while Amar Alibegović added 11.
The next game is coming up for Cedevita Olimpija on Thursday, when they will be facing Helios Suns in Game 3 of the Nova KBM League Finals. The game is set to begin at 20.30. Currently the series are levelled to 1:1 in victories.
