On Saturday, Cedevita Olimpija squad have prevailed over Cibona in the ninth round of the AdmiralBet ABA League with the final score of 90:78.
In the opening game of the Saturday’s AdmiralBet ABA League schedule, Cedevita Olimpija have prevailed over Cibona on the road in Dražen Petrović Arena in Zagreb. This is the third win in a row for the Dragons in the regional competition and the one, that keeps them firmly in the Playoffs Zone, with a 6:2 record after 8 games played so far.
In the 13th minute Cibona have been in front with their game-high lead of 5 points (30:25), but that’s when the turning point of the clash appeared. Cedevita Olimpija went on a 14:2 run over the next 4 minutes and turned the game completely upside-down, leading by 7 points (32:39) with less than 4 minutes to go in the second quarter. As it turned out later in the game, these were the key moments, as Cibona did not manage to get close enough again until the end of the game.
For Cedevita Olimpija, Amar Alibegović led the way in scoring with 20 points. He has been followed by Josh Adams, who scored 19. Edo Murić and Marko Jeremić had 11 points on their records and Yogi Ferrell 10.
The next game is coming up on Tuesday for Cedevita Olimpija, as they will face ratiopharm Ulm at home in Stožice in the 7th round of the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season.
