In the previously postponed game of the AdmiralBet ABA League Round 3, Cedevita Olimpija has suffered home defeat against Crvena zvezda Meridianbet in Stožice Arena.
It has been a game, where the visiting side have dominated the court since the very beginning, as Crvena zvezda Meridianbet has gone off to a 17:0 lead right at the start. The Dragons, that played without Yogi Ferrell this time, did manage to make the game close again, as they have cut the gap to only 2 points (28:30) with only 3 minutes to go. However, Crvena zvezda made a 13:2 run in the final 2 minutes of the first half, which put them up 30:43 at the big break and it has been a blow, from which the Dragons did not manage to recover until the end.
For Cedevita Olimpija, Amar Alibegović led the way in scoring with 12 points on his record, while Karlo Matković and Zoran Dragić scored 10 apiece.
The season goes on for the Ljubljana squad on Saturday, when they will face FMP Soccerbet in the first game of the Quarterfinal series. The game will be played in Stožice Arena, with the starting time at 18.30.
