Cedevita Olimpija senior squad has prevailed over Borac Mozzart on Sunday night in Stožice Arena in the Round 25 of the AdmiralBet ABA League with the score of 92:56. For the Dragons, this is the fourth win in a row in the regional competition and tenth in a row over the Čačak side.
Cedevita Olimpija senior squad has extended its winning streak in the regional competition, that lasts all the way from 9 March. The squad, led from the bench by head coach Zvezdan Mitrović has prevailed over Borac Mozzart in the Round 25 game of the AdmiralBet ABA League with the final score of 92:56. For the Dragons this is the fourth win in a row and tenth in a row over the team of Čačak.
In the last 17 games in the regional competition, the reigning Slovenian champions have grabbed 14 wins. Cedevita Olimpija has this way made another step towards qualifying for the Playoffs. Next weekend, the Dragons will be playing on the road in Subotica against Spartak Office Shoes and the next home game is coming against Cibona a week later.
GAME REPORT:
Cedevita Olimpija have taken command of the game as early as the first quarter. With 2 minutes and a half to go in the first, the hosts were still in front by only a point (18:17), but a 9:2 run followed by the end of the first quarter, which handed them a comfortable 8-point lead after 10 minutes of play. In the beginning of the second period, their lead has swiftly become double-digit and that’s when it became clear that a comeback for the Čačak squad would be very difficult to achieve.
For Cedevita Olimpija, Aleksej Nikolić led the way in scoring with 20 points on his record, while Gregor Glas added 15 points.
