The players of the Cedevita Olimpija senior squad have been defeated in the Round 21 of the AdmiralBet ABA League against Budućnost VOLI with the final scvore of 95:78.
The senior team of Cedevita Olimpija has failed to grab a win in the NLB Match of the Round 21 in the AdmiralBet ABA League agianst Budućnost VOLI and thus did not manage to get back on the winning track. The scoreboard in the Morača Sports Hall has been showing the result 95:78 in favour of the hosts, that have handed the Dragons their ninth defeat of the season. The squad, led from the bench by head coach Zvezdan Mitrović has also writen down 12 wins this season in the regional competition.
The green and orange squad will be back in Ljubljana on Sunday, and on Wednesday, 19.30 they will be facing Besiktas of Istanbul in the Eighthfinals of the BKT Eurocup.
GAME REPORT:
Budućnost VOLI have started the game with a dominant first half. They have pulled away already in the opening quarter, which they have won by 9 points (26:17), and kept on grinding in the second quarter. When Yogi Ferrell scored in the 15th minute of the game, the margin between the two squads was 17 points (37:20) and it already seemed like a win would stay in Podgorica this time.
Cedevita Olimpija did fight back in the second half and cut the gap to 6 points on some occasions, but did not manage to get any closer than that until the end.
For Cedevita Olimpija, DJ Stewart led the way in scoring with 24 points on his record this time around, while Aleksej Nikolić added 14 points.
