Cedevita Olimpija squad suffered a defeat against Crvena zvezda Meridianbet (94:51) in the second round game of the AdmiralBet ABA League.
Cedevita Olimpija is coming back to Ljubljana empty-handed. In the derby game against the Finalists of the last AdmiralBet ABA League season, Crvena zvezda Meridianbet, the Dragons of Ljubljana have lost with the final score of 94:51. The squad, led by the head coach Simone Pianigiani, therefore holds one win and one defeat in its hands after two rounds.
The next test at the regional scene is coming up for the Ljubljana side next Saturday, when Split is coming to Stožice. The game is scheduled for 15.00. Before that, the Dragons will host Joventut Badalona in the first home game of the BKT EuroCup season on Wednesday, 18.30.

GAME REPORT:
Crvena zvezda Meridianbet did not waste any time and pulled away early in the match. They were up with the double-digit number of points (21:11) immediately at the start of the second quarter and did not let their opponents to even think about a possible comeback. When, 3 minutes until the end of the second quarter, Shabazz Napier scored for 3 points, Zvezda were up by 20 points already (39:19) and the winner of the game has been revealed. As it turned out later, Cedevita Olimpija did not have the strength to fight back and Zvezda celebrated a convincing win in the end.
For the Dragons, Amadou Sow had 19 points and 7 rebounds, Justin Cobbs 8, Karlo Matković 7 and Luka Ščuka 5.
