Win over Mornar-Barsko zlato for the end of 2022

Cedevita Olimpija players have beaten Mornar-Barsko zlato 100:79 in their last game of the 2022 in the 12th round of the AdmiralBet ABA League season This is the sixth win in a row for the Jurica Golemac’s squad in the regional competition.

This way, the Ljubljana squad have completed their perfect December in the AdmiralBet ABA League with 4 victories on their record and not a single defeat. After 11 games played this season, the Dragons are now on a 9:2 record, with only 2 teams, Crvena zvezda mts and Partizan Mozzart Bet, having collected a bigger number of wins so far.

With 2 minutes to go in the opening quarter, Cedevita Olimpija have still been up by only 4 points (19:15), but that’s when the fantastic streak by the home side begun, which lasted 3 minutes of play and during which the Dragons made an 11:2 run for the 13-point lead (30:17) in the 12th minute. As it turned out later in the game, Mornar-Barsko zlato just did not manage to fight back afterwards and make it anybody’s game again, so these were the key moments of the night.

For Cedevita Olimpija, no less than five players have achieved a double-digit number of points, as Alen Omić had 18 points, Amar Alibegović 17, Karlo Matković and Josh Adams 15 and Yogi Ferrell 13.

The next game is coming up for the Ljubljana squad on Monday, 2 January, when they will face Mega MIS on the road in Belgrade.
