For a spot in the Finals, the Dragons will battle against either Partizan Mozzart Bet or SC Derby.
For the second season in a row, the Cedevita Olimpija squad is cheering a place in the Semifinals of the AdmiralBet ABA League. The squad, led from the bench by head coach Miro Alilović, has secured itself a spot in the Top 4 on Saturday, as they beat FMP Soccerbet at home in Tivoli Sports Hall 97:79.
After a tied contest at the very start, the game remained close up until 13th minute, when the score was 30:27 in favour of Cedevita Olimpija. However, that’s when the Dragons went on a 9:2 run over the next couple of minutes, for their first double-digit lead of the match (39:29). As it turned out later in the game, these were the key moments, as the Panthers failed to make it anybody’s game again until the very end.
For the winning squad, Alen Omić had 20 points, Amar Alibegović and Yogi Ferrell 19 each, Karlo Matković scored 12 points and Zoran Dragić 10.
Bad news is that Josh Adams, an important part of the team has suffered what seemed to be a serious injury. There are no further details on his injury yet, however.
The Ljubljana squad will battle for a spot in the Finals against the winning side from the clash between Partizan Mozzart Bet and SC Derby.
Cedevita Olimpija continues its 2022/23 journey on Monday, when they will be hosting Šentjur in the Game 2 of the Liga Nova KBM Quarterfinals. In the first game, Cedevita Olimpija celebrated a triump, so it can secure promotion to the Semifinals already on Monday.
