Cedevita Olimpija squad has written down sixth straight win in the EuroCup. Despite the fact that the squad, led by head coach Jurica Golemac has already secured itself a spot in the EuroCup Playoffs, they have demonstrated a high-flying performance and beat Umana Reyer 105:90.
Cedevita Olimpija keeps playing magnificently and with a winning streak in both international competitions. The Dragons have suffered their lst defeat in the games of the 7DAYS EuroCup and regional competition in the end of January and grabbed 11 straight wins since then. Altogether the Ljubljana squad has won 15 out of last 17 games and they have suffered the only two defeats in the domestic championship, playing with the young squad.
Cedevita Olimpija have got their sweet revenge for the defeat in Venice over Umana Reyer thanks to their terrific start of the game. They have prevailed over the visiting side in the first quarter alone by 18 points (28:10) and afterwards continued to cruise towards a comfortable win with the final score of 105:90.
For Cedevita Olimpija Zach Auguste headed the list of scorers with 20 points. Yogi Ferrell added 17.
The next test awaits Cedevita Olimpija on Sunday, 17.00, when the Dragons will be hosting Partizan NIS in Tivoli Sports Hall. The clash against the Belgrade squad will have a scent of history, since both squads will present themselves in the jerseys from the former Yugoslav period.
