Cedevita Olimpija squad has stepped on the court of Stožice Arena for the first time this season in the 7DAYS Eurocup. In front of the home crowd, they have taken advantage of the opportunity and improved their impression, that they left on Sunday in the regional competition. They have beaten the French JL Bourg with the score of 91:79.
Just like in the last season, the Dragons have been better than the French side on Wednesday. They have celebrated a triumph with the final score of 91:79 and have written down their second win of the season in this competition.
In the opening minutes of the game, the visiting side have gone on a run and Jurica Golemac took a time-out at the score of 6:14. This decision turned out to be positive, since the Dragons have cut their deficit at first and then took the lead (26:25) as the first quarter finished. In the following minutes, the teams had similar performances. The hosts could have departed to the big break with an advantage, but Marko Radovanović made a personal foul on Axel Julien, as he scored a triple and he scored all free throws. The first half ended with the score of 48:49.
At the start of the second half, the Ljubljana squad needed a couple of minutes to heat up their engines and then increased their lead to seven points (72:65) by the end of the third quarter. In the final ten minutes, the Dragons did not let their opponents to get close. With the solid defensive performance and successful offensive game, they have been up in double digits with two minutes and a half remaining on the game clock. Jaka Blažič put the icing on the cake in the end to set the final score of 91:79.
Edo Murić was the hero of the game with 21 points. Marcus Keene scored a point less (20), while Jacob Pullen had 13 pointes and 5 assists.
