In front of the fans for the first Final’s victory

The players of Cedevita Olimpija will start the final set of the Nova KBM League against Novo mesto’s Krka on Wednesday at 20.30 in their home hall of Stožice. The Dragons are heading to the finals with the Novo mesto team determined to win the 18^th title of the Slovenian national champion and return the title to the Stožen showcases after 2018. All basketball fans will be able to attend all home games until the end of the 2020/21 season!

For the basketball players of Cedevita Olimpija, the final part of the 2020/21 competition season begins. After winning the second part of the competition in the 7DAYS EuroCup and finishing the ABA League in fifth place and winning the Slovenian Super Cup at home, the Dragons will face Novo mesto’s Krka in the final set of the Nova KBM League. The finals of the national championship will be won by the team that will record three victories faster, and last time Ljubljana was looking forward to the title of national basketball champion was in 2018.

The first match of the final set will be on Wednesday at 20.30 in Arena Stožice.

In the 2020/21 season, Cedevita Olimpija and Krka met six times. The Ljubljana team was looking forward to the victory five times, and in the last mutual showdown, the Novo mesto players left the floor with their heads held high. On Saturday, Luka Lapornik won the semifinals of the Spar Cup in Kodeljevo with a triple at the sound of the Krka siren with 82:80, and a day later the Novo mesto basketball players were looking forward to the title of cup champion after beating Šentjur in the final with 72:66.

It will be possible to watch the match live on Sportklub 1, and online on the official YouTube channel of the Basketball Association of Slovenia.

It will not be possible to buy tickets to watch the match on the day of the match at the box office of Arena Stožice. Fans are asked to make a purchase in the KK Cedevita Olimpija online store (www.shop.olimpija.com), on the Moje karte online platform, at Petrol Slovenija petrol stations, and on the Petrol Ticket online platform.

At the same time, when entering the hall, fans will have to have:

• Negative result of PCR or HAG (‘rapid test’) test not older than 72 hours.
• Certificate of morbidity (proof of a positive PCR test older than 10 days but not older than six months).
• Evidence of vaccination against COVID-19.

The cup showed that an interesting final set is ahead of us. We know Krka well. Novo mesto players play modern basketball. In the semi-finals of the Spar Cup, they showed and proved that this is a team that works energetically on the floor. We have to rise after Saturday’s defeat and win the national championship title.”

We are tackling the finals step by step and in the end we will see on the floor who will be the national champion and the best in Slovenia.
