In Čačak for another step towards the playoffs

Cedevita Olimpija will face Borac in the 20th round of the ABA League on Saturday at 5 pm in Čačak and try to take a new step towards the finals of the regional competition.

The players of Cedevita Olimpija will try to extend the series of victories in the regional competition on Saturday at 5 pm in Čačak. The Dragons suffered their last defeat in the ABA League on December 30 last year against FMP, and on Saturday they will clash with Borac, and a victory would mean a new decisive step towards the playoffs.

The most efficient basketball player of Borac in the ABA League this season is Nikola Kočović, who averages 11.3 points, 3.1 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game.

The Cedevita Olimpija team will travel to Belgrade on Friday evening, and the day after the clash with Borac, the Ljubljana team will travel to Podgorica, where they will face Buducnost VOLI in the last match of the second round of the 7DAYS EuroCup on Tuesday at 19.00. The match with the Podgorica team will be decisive for both teams in the fight for a place in the quarterfinals of the European Cup.

“We have a very demanding match ahead of us. Borac is a great team that is very well lead. Certainly Borac does not deserve to be in the standings where it is at the moment, with the games as it shows. Our rivals have unfortunately lost, I would say, more than half of the matches. We are preparing as if the last showdown of the season is ahead of us. We will have to do our best if we want to record a victory in Čačak and justify the role of the favorite.”
