Edo Murić stays in Cedevita Olimpija!

Edo Murić remains part of Cedevita Olimpija! The Power Forwad of the Slovenian men’s national team and it’s cocaptain, which became the first player to become part of the newly formed team in 2019, will remain in Ljubljana and continue to wear Dragons jersey.

We will be able to follow Edo Murić again in the Cedevita Olimpija jersey. The Power Forward of the Slovenian men’s national team, which was also its captain until Goran Dragić’s return to the national team jersey, but now shares the captain’s role, will continue to be part of the Ljubljana team, which he was the first to join in 2019.

“Three years ago we started writing the story of Cedevita Olimpija in Ljubljana, which during this period, progressed from season to season, and I believe that we will continue in the same rhythm in the future. I am happy to stay in Ljubljana. I am already inviting all fans to join us at all our home matches and to continue to take care of the great atmosphere in Stožice and Tivoli,” said Murić.

Murić has had a very good season, averaging 10.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0 steals per game in the 7DAYS EuroCup, and 9.4 points and 4.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.9 steals per game in the regional league. In February this year, Murić was chosen as the Most Valuable Player of the tournament at the Final Four tournament of the Spar Cup in Kodeljevo, where Cedevita Olimpija won its 21^st Cup title in independent Slovenia.

In Edo’s showcases we can find as many as six titles of the Slovenian national champion, the last two, in the seasons 2021/22 and 2020/21 he won with Cedevita Olimpija. In the Dragons’ jersey, Murić also won three Slovenian Super Cup titles and one Spar Cup title.
