Dragons leave Zadar empty-handed

Cedevita Olimpija suffered a road defeat in Zadar in the Round 23 of the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season (88:65).

The senior squad of the Cedevita Olimpija remains without a single win after the national team windows, that came in February. Zadar prevailed over the squad, led from the bench by head coach Zoran Martić in the Round 23 of the AdmiralBet ABA League, with the final score of 88:65.

Cedevita Olimpija and Zadar hold an equal number of wins and defeats (14/9) after 23 rounds, but Zadar is in a better position ahead of the final three rounds of the competition, since the Dalmatian squad has prevailed in both mutual encounters this season.

Three games await the Dragons until the end of the Regular Season. On Saturday, 17.00, Mornar-Barsko zlato will arrive in Stožice. Two consecutive games on the road are following then, against Krka and Cibona.

GAME REPORT:

Zadar have opened the game with a partial score of 8:0 and never let go of their lead afterwards. However, the crucial one was their 13:0 run between 16th and 19th minute of the game, which pulled them away from 34:30 lead to the 37:30 lead with a minute to go in the first half. The battle for a win was over at this point.

For Cedevita Olimpija, Alexander Shashkov led the way in scoring with 15 points on his record. Zoran Dragić added 13, Alen Omić 12 and Gregor Glas 11.
