In the third game of the Nova KBM League Finals, Cedevita Olimpija have triumphed for the second time on the road in Domžale. The Dragons have prevailed over the Helios Suns with the final score of 82:78.
Cedevita Olimpija is only one step away from defending their Nova KBM League trophy, as they are 2:1 up in the finals and have an opportunity to confirm their crown on Saturday night, when they will be hosting Helios Suns in front of home crowd in Tivoli Sports Hall. The game will begin at 18:00.
The Dragons have been a better of the two squads at the beginning, as they, have won the first quarter by 7 points (13:20) and first half by 4 (37:41). The hosts fought back in the second half and made it anybody’s game and it remained so all until the final moments of the clash. The Dragons entered the final minute with a 2-point advantage (70:72). However, perhaps the crucial moment of the game came with 45 seconds to go, when Edo Murić scored a three-pointer to put his team up by 5 points (70:75). Blaž Mahkovic scored two three-pointers for Helios Suns until the end, while Austin Luke added a lay-up, to keep their team close, but it was Yogi Ferrell who combined 7 points for the Dragons in the finish, which pushed his team to the win with the final score of 82:78
For Cedevita Olimpija, Yogi Ferrell led the way in scoring with 35 points on his record, while Alen Omić and Amar Alibegović added 11 apiece.
