Cedevita Olimpija and Gorenjska banka are entering the new season of the One Team project

With the start of the 7DAYS EuroCup competition in the 2021/2022 season, Cedevita Olimpija has also started its One Team project. The latter brings a novelty with the new season, as Gorenjska banka joins One Team family as the main partner of the project. During the season, Gorenjska banka will actively contribute to the implementation of the project and set goals.

One Team is the CSR program of Eurolegue Basketball. This season the project celebrates ten years of its existence, and the Euroleague, with the help of clubs from all over Europe, managed to develop a complete CSR programe, which operates within the basic theme: community integration. The main message of the project is to use the power of basketball to integrate community.

Each participating club develops a specific One Team project tailored to its own community needs to benefit groups in danger of exclusion due to problems such as substance abuse and gender, physical or intellectual disability.

Cedevita Olimpija will continue to cooperate with the Youth Care Centre Malči Belič Ljubljana also in the 2021/2022 season.

»The project perfectly complements our daily work, as we address important socio-pedagogical content and develop social skills. Children love to play basketball and participate in a variety of tasks, by which they also develop their motor skills. Children are especially interested in meetings with club representatives and players. We can’t wait to be able to watch the matches and practices of Cedevita Olimpija basketball players in person,« said Dejan, an educator at the Expert Centre of the Youth Care Centre Malči Belič Ljubljana

Alen Hodžić will also continue his work within the project, as he will perform tasks and duties of the ambassador:  »I am happy and proud to be the ambassador of the One Team project. I am  extremely happy that this season our workshops will also take place in person and that the children of Youth Care centre Malči Belič Ljubljana will be able to come to our games in our beautiful arena. Every socially responsible action is of great importance for the entire club and also for me personally. I believe that through basketball we can bring sport and love for sport closer to anyone and by this make theirs and ours everyday life a lot nicer.«
