Brynton Lemar, a guard for Cedevita Olimpija’s senior team, has been named the MVP of Round 11 in the regular season of the AdmiralBet ABA League.
Lemar earned the accolade after an impressive performance on Sunday evening at Tivoli, where Cedevita Olimpija hosted Spartak Subotica and secured a 91:82 victory. In less than 18 minutes of play, Lemar tallied 22 points and five rebounds, shooting 7-of-9 from the field (6/6 on two-pointers, 1/3 on three-pointers) and converting all seven of his free throws flawlessly.
The 29-year-old American basketball player, who also holds Jamaican citizenship, returned to action at the end of November after nearly two months sidelined with a foot injury. He showcased his quality and underscored his crucial role in the Dragons’ lineup this season. In the EuroCup, he has averaged 17.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists over two games during this period, while in the regional league, he has averaged 15.0 points per game in two matches since the competition break.
Cedevita Olimpija’s next challenge awaits on Wednesday at 8:00 PM when they visit Umana Reyer Venice in the EuroCup. In the regional league, they will face Zagreb’s Cibona on Saturday.
