Umoja Gibson Named MVP of Round 13 of the AdmiralBet ABA League

Member of the Cedevita Olimpija senior team Umoja Gibson has been selected as the Most Valuable Player of Round 13 of the first part of the AdmiralBet ABA League season. The American playmaker delivered an outstanding shooting performance in Saturday’s game against Spartak Office Shoes at the Stožice Arena and was the key figure in the convincing victory of the Ljubljana Dragons.

Gibson scored 30 points in less than 23 minutes on the court, impressing with remarkable efficiency—shooting 10/12 for two points and 3/4 from three-point range. He complemented his excellent offensive display with five assists, and with a valuation index of 37, he fully deserved the MVP of the Round title in the regional competition.

Cedevita Olimpija won the contest 86:65, recording their tenth ABA League win of the season. With this success, the team made an important step toward securing a place among the top eight teams that will compete for the highest positions. The Dragons continue their run of strong performances in Stožice, where, backed by their fans, they are building a solid home fortress.

For Gibson, this is already his second MVP of the Round award this season. He was first named MVP in the opening, first round, when he posted 17 points (3/3 for two, 3/4 for three) and seven assists in the win over Mega Superbet in Stožice. The American playmaker is thus confirming excellent form and his important role in the game of the Ljubljana team, which faces decisive battles in the continuation of the regional season.
