Basketball Club Cedevita Olimpija is delighted to announce the contract extension with Rok Radović, a product of the Cedevita basketball family. The new agreement, keeping the 24-year-old wing player in the Dragon’s Nest until the end of the 2026/27 season, reaffirms the club’s commitment to developing homegrown talent and strengthening the team for future challenges in domestic and international competitions.

Rok Radović, a 200 cm tall occasional Slovenian national team player, began his journey with Cedevita Olimpija in 2016 when he joined the club’s youth categories, then under the umbrella of Zagreb’s Cedevita. At 18, he signed his first professional contract and, through persistence and hard work, has become a key member of the Ljubljana team. In the 2024/25 season, Radović once again proved his worth, becoming a vital part of the squad in the regional ABA League and the BKT EuroCup, captivating fans with his versatility and energy on the court.

In the 2024/25 season, Radović averaged 5.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game in the ABA League, and 3.0 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.7 assists in the EuroCup. His performances established him as a reliable player for head coach Zvezdan Mitrović on both ends of the court, excelling in defense and offense. With the Dragons, Radović also won all three domestic titles for the third consecutive season. Extending his contract aligns with the club’s strategy of ensuring long-term stability and fostering local talent.

“We are very proud and happy to have extended our collaboration with Rok Radović for the next two seasons. Rok is an important part of our basketball family, embodying the values of Cedevita Olimpija with his dedication, work ethic, and talent. His loyalty to the club and development over the years prove that hard work and perseverance can lead to great achievements. We are confident that Rok will continue to be a key part of our team, exciting fans in both domestic and international competitions,” said Cedevita Olimpija’s director, Davor Užbinec, who was the leading figure at Zagreb’s Cedevita when Rok signed his first professional contract.

“We are thrilled to announce the contract extension with Rok Radović, who was one of the key players in our senior team last season and a true example of a player who grew with our club. Rok has proven his quality, dedication, and versatility on the court, showing he is the heart of the Dragon family. His energy, potential, and loyalty are values we particularly cherish at Cedevita Olimpija. We are confident that Rok will continue to progress, delight fans, and contribute significantly to our goals as a key team member. We are happy he remains part of Cedevita Olimpija,” said the club’s sporting director, Chechu Mulero, upon announcing the extension.

“Rok Radović has been an important part of Cedevita, now Cedevita Olimpija, for many years. Last season, Rok delivered numerous solid performances, and in the upcoming season, we expect further progress and greater consistency in his game,” said head coach Zvezdan Mitrović.

“I’m thrilled to sign the new contract. I can’t wait to reunite with the team and start the new competitive season,” said Rok Radović upon signing.

Radović’s journey has been filled with challenges and opportunities. After spending his early years in Domžale and then Zagreb, he moved to Ljubljana with Cedevita in 2019, gaining experience along the way with OKK Beograd. In 2021, he was loaned to Cedevita Junior, where he gained valuable experience before returning to Ljubljana to become a regular member of the first team. His performances at youth European Championships with Slovenian national teams hinted at his potential, and today, Radović is a player who inspires younger generations with his game, character, and dedication. His strong performances also earned him a call-up to the Slovenian senior national team, for which he has played three official matches so far.

In Zagreb, Radović played for Cedevita in two ABA League youth tournaments, averaging 19.3 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game in the 2018/19 season. Additionally, he won Croatian cadet and junior national titles with Cedevita and was named the MVP of the cadet championship in the 2018/19 season.
