Ahead of the 2025/26 season, Cedevita Olimpija has strengthened its frontcourt with the addition of 208 cm tall Luka Brajković, who arrives in Ljubljana from Turkish side Darüşşafaka. After gaining valuable experience in Spain, Greece, Italy, and Turkey—as well as four years of college basketball in the United States—the 26-year-old center is joining the Adriatic region for the first time. Upon signing with the Ljubljana-based club, we spoke with him about his decision to come to Slovenia, his goals, preparations, and message to the fans.
“Cedevita Olimpija is a club with a long-standing tradition and big ambitions. I felt that right away. After talking to people at the club and hearing the vision they presented, I knew this was the right place for me,” Luka said with a confident tone, showing the decision came quickly and without hesitation.
He says he’s looking forward to embracing the new environment and connecting with the fans.
“I’ve only heard great things about Ljubljana. I know it’s a beautiful city with a strong basketball culture. The fan base is large, and I can’t wait to move to Ljubljana.”
Brajković’s ambitions are clear and high:
“My goals are simple – to help the team win as many games as possible and to keep improving in everything I do. I want us, as Cedevita Olimpija, to show our best possible version this season.”
What can fans expect from Brajković on the court?
“For the fans, the most important thing to know is that I give everything I’ve got in every single game,” he emphasizes without hesitation.
Luka is currently fully focused on his individual preparations for the upcoming season.
“I’m preparing in Belgrade right now, where I also work with a personal trainer. I train every day. I’m focusing especially on building strength so I can perform at a high level in the EuroCup and ABA League,” Luka explains, determined to arrive in Ljubljana in top form.

“You can be sure that every time I wear the Cedevita Olimpija jersey, I will give it everything I’ve got on the court.”
