The senior squad of Cedevita Olimpija recorded its fifth victory of the BKT EuroCup regular season on Wednesday on their home court. The players coached by head coach Zvezdan Mitrović beat Umana Reyer from Venice in the seventh round of the competition with a score of 93:65 and remain just below the top of Group A’s standings. After seven games played, only Turkish Bahçeşehir (6 wins) has more victories than the Dragons, while Hapoel Jerusalem has the same number of wins—though it’s worth noting that the Ljubljana team has already defeated the Israeli side earlier this season.
A youthful atmosphere filled Stožice, as the stands were once again packed with students during the fourth edition of Student Night, creating a lively and pleasant fan experience.
The Slovenian champions now have two consecutive home games ahead—on Monday at 5:00 p.m., EuroLeague team Crvena zvezda Meridianbet will visit Stožice, followed by German side Hamburg on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for both games are already available at vstopnice.olimpija.com.

After a first half marked by several lead changes, which Cedevita Olimpija ultimately turned in their favor (42:37), the Dragons made the decisive push toward a new victory in the third quarter. With two free throws by Thomas Kennedy midway through the period, the home team gained their first double-digit lead (53:43), then increased the pressure as the quarter went on, pulling ahead by 20 points in the 30th minute (69:49). In the remainder of the game, head coach Zvezdan Mitrović’s players managed to stop all attempts by the visiting team and celebrated another important home win in European competition.
For Cedevita Olimpija, Umoja Gibson led the way in scoring with 15 points on his record, while Thomas Kennedy added 14 points.
