On Tuesday night in Stožice, Cedevita Olimpija’s senior squad wrote a small chapter in the club’s history. In a matchup between two undefeated teams, the Dragons won 80:59 in the third round of the EuroCup regular season, claiming their third consecutive victory to start the competition. This is the first time in the club’s modern EuroCup history that Ljubljana has opened a season with three straight wins.
The Stožice Arena was nicely filled with fans, who created a fantastic atmosphere. The ambiance was further enhanced by more than 300 supporters of Aris. The evening was also marked by #PinkOctober, which the Ljubljana club traditionally observes in cooperation with Europa Donna Slovenia to raise awareness about the fight against breast cancer and the importance of timely prevention.
The week in the Dragons’ Nest isn’t over yet — on Sunday at 5:00 p.m., Cedevita Olimpija will host Zadar at Stožice. The game will be painted green, as the club is organizing a themed “All Green Night.” All fans are invited to join in wearing green clothing, jerseys, and scarves. Tickets for the game are already available at vstopnice.olimpija.com.
