The senior team of Cedevita Olimpija suffered a defeat on Tuesday in their final home game of the 2025 calendar year at Arena Stožice. In the 11th round of the BKT EuroCup regular season, they lost to Hapoel Midtown Jerusalem by a score of 84:81. For the Dragons, this was their second consecutive loss in the EuroCup.
On Tuesday in Stožice, Cedevita Olimpija recorded their second straight defeat in the EuroCup. In the 11th round of the competition’s regular season, the team coached by head coach Zvezdan Mitrović was outplayed by Hapoel Midtown Jerusalem, who celebrated a victory with a score of 84:81. This marks the Dragons’ fourth loss in this European season, to go along with seven wins.
Before the end of the 2025 calendar year, the Ljubljana-based team still has four games ahead of them—all on the road, with only one in the EuroCup. In 14 days, the Dragons will visit Aris in Thessaloniki. The next challenge for the green-and-orange side comes on Sunday at 12:00, when they travel to Belgrade to face Mega.
GAME REPORT:
The visitors quickly built a tangible advantage. After the first quarter they led by five points (15–20), and by halftime the margin had grown to ten (33–43). In the second half, Arena Stožice witnessed the home team’s comeback, and seven minutes before the end of the game the difference between the two teams was down to just four points (58–62). What followed was a tense finish in a electric atmosphere, in which Hapoel eventually prevailed.
Aleksej Nikolić has been the top scorer of Cedevita Olimpija this time around with 27 points on his record. Umoja Gibson added 18 points and Jaka Blažič had 11.
