The team of Cedevita Olimpija will enter the new season strengthened by the experienced Mirko Mulalić, who agreed with the Ljubljana team to extend his contract for one season. The young and talented Žiga Daneu will stay in Ljubljana for at least two more seasons, with the possibility of an extension for two more seasons, and the newest member of the Dragons lineup is Polish Damian Kruzynski, who will be, along with Žiga, a loaned player at Nutrispoint Ilirija.

In the new competition season, we will be able to follow Mirko Mulalić again in the jersey of Cedevita Olimpija. The latter joined the Ljubljana club already in the second part of the season, which is behind us, and he will stay in Ljubljana at least until the end of the 2022/23 season. Mulalić started his basketball journey in the jersey of the then Union Olimpija, and his career led him to many Slovenian clubs. In the 2021/22 season, Mulalić returned to Ljubljana mainly to help with the matches of the Slovenian national championship. He played in 12 Nova KBM League games and averaged 7.1 points, 2.8 assists and 1.8 rebounds per contest.

The Ljubljana club agreed to sign a new contract with young Žiga Daneu. Žiga has been part of the structure of Cedevita Olimpija since his early youth, and he comes from a basketball family, as his father is Jaka Daneu and his grandfather is the legendary Ivo Daneu. In the 2020/21 season, Žiga Daneu tasted the pleasure of playing in the strongest Slovenian basketball competition for the first time in his career, and in five games he spent an average of just over 16 minutes on the floor, scoring 1.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 0 .8 assists per faceoff. In the 2021/22 season, Daneu played in eight games in the Nova KBM League and scored 9.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. He also got his first chance in the 7DAYS EuroCup, but in two minutes of the game against Umana Reyer, he failed to score.

Polish Damian Kruzynski was new to the Ljubljana line-up. In the coming season, the latter, like Daneu, will not wear the Dragon jersey, as a loaned player from Cedevita Olimpija, he will train in Nutrispoint Ilirija. In the 2021/22 season, Kruzynski already wore the jersey of the Cedevita Olimpija junior team and played in two matches at the final tournament of the regional league, which took place in Stožice. In the first match with SC Derby, he scored 15 points, and in the clash with Igokea, he entered 11 in the statistics. Kruzynski, however, already wore the jersey of Ilirija in the 2021/22 season and averaged 1.9 points, 0, 6 rebounds and 0.2 assists, and he played in 14 games.
