Dragons face Igokea m:tel in the Quarterfinals of ABA Super Cup

The teams will enter the 2023/24 season in the regional stage after three seasons of break again with the ABA Super Cup. The tournament will take place between 18 and 20 September in Podgorica. Cedevita Olimpija will face Igokea m:tel in the Quarterfinals.

Cedevita Olimpija will open the tournament on Monday, 18 September, 12.00 against Igokea m:tel. In case of a win against the Laktaši team, the squad, led from the bench by Simone Pianigiani, will face the winner of the clash between Partizan Mozzart Bet and Mega MIS in the Semifinals. The other two Quarterfinal pairs are Budućnost VOLI – Zadar and FMP Soccerbet – SC Derby.

The last time that the ABA Super Cup took place, was in the 2019/20 season, in Zagreb. Cedevita Olimpija beat FMP Soccerbet and Budućnost VOLI to advance to the Final, where it was eventually defeated by Partizan Mozzart Bet 99:77.

It’s worth mentioning, that Cedevita Olimpija already has the ABA Super Cup trophy in its possession, as Cedevita Zagreb prevailed over the competition in Bar in 2017, beating Budućnost VOLI in the Final 78:69.
