PRE-GAME STATEMENTS:

“We have a strong team coming, with four wins in five games in the regional league and a solid record in the EuroCup. Although they lost their last two games, that shouldn’t fool us. Budućnost is strong on every position, with an offensive lineup that’s dangerous and a consistently aggressive defense. We want to bring the positive energy from Thessaloniki’s victory to the Stožice court, and for that, we’ll certainly need the support of our fans to help elevate our game,” said Đorđe Adžić, Cedevita Olimpija’s assistant coach.

“Budućnost players will surely be motivated to return to winning ways on Sunday. We need to prepare well. Their last two losses were to tough opponents, so we’re expecting a challenging game. That’s why we invite fans to come out in force to support us. Every voice in the stands will help boost our energy and push us toward success,” said Aleksej Nikolić.

GAME PREVIEW:

Cedevita Olimpija enters the match against Podgorica’s team with momentum from their game against Aris in Thessaloniki, where they recorded their fourth EuroCup win of the season. Despite being down by double digits, they surged in the second half, especially in the last quarter, turning a 57:66 deficit into a 68:72 lead with a 15:2 run. Top scorers for the Green-Orange squad were Jaka Blažič with 19 points and Devin Robinson with 18. DJ Stewart added 15 points and eight rebounds, while Rok Radović contributed 10 points and five rebounds.

Budućnost will also aim to use this game to return to winning ways, having recently lost two consecutive games at home – first against Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet and then against Bahçeşehir. Despite this, Budućnost has four wins in the regional league and three in the EuroCup.
